Online School Level Danish

Level: Danish at levels corresponding to the Danish school system
Ages: 6-17

Online School Level Danish is designed for students aged 6-17 with Danish as their first language. The content is based on the simplified Common Objectives for grades 0-9 issued by the Ministry of Education and is geared toward competencies at the specific grade levels. The program is designed to enable students to take the Grade 9 Graduation Exam administered at Summer School.

The course includes the classroom and the online component. In Bangkok, it offers each student two teachers. The local teacher initiates and supports work, and the online teacher develops assignments and provides feedback on completed assignments. Students must bring a laptop or tablet to the classroom and must use it to access the assignments at our instructional platform www.abc.danes.dk.

Typically, the classroom instruction is provided once a week for 1 hour. In addition, students will spend 30-60 minutes per week doing homework.

Classroom Instruction, School Level Danish

Level: Danish at levels corresponding to the Danish school system
Ages: 6-17

Classroom instruction in school level Danish is designed for children who wish to learn in a classroom with a teacher.

The instruction is provided in the classroom, and all students (including those taking the online course) start classes jointly. Subsequently, the students in the Classroom Instruction, School Level Danish program work on the printed assignments distributed by the teacher. Any homework will be arranged with the teacher in Bangkok. The Classroom Instruction, School Level Danish program is offered at an orientation level according to the specific grade levels. Students advance their level of skill in Danish and achieve competencies that enable them to return to the Danish school system. However, there will be certain gaps in grammar and written Danish.

Ages: 3-5

The compensation for a local teacher is to be negotiated with the Learning Center. The Play Group program is designed for preschoolers. It is structured around games and on-the-floor play to stimulate the children’s use of Danish, give them an awareness of language, and expand their vocabulary. Play Group supports inclusion of the Danish language in the children’s daily lives and provides a foundation for their future learning.
