Family Summer School is a great option for those who …
- Have a Danish child/grandchild living outside Denmark
- Seek out “learning vacations” and desire to learn Danish in a fun and innovative way

Nine days of captivating instruction and activities for children and adults
During the event, children will receive 35 Danish lessons while adults have the opportunity to attend Danish language class or participate in various activities (speakers of Danish). The lessons for children are offered at three levels (beginner, basic, and school level). Our teachers are professional and experienced teachers who have developed innovative instructional approaches geared to the participants.
When the daytime lessons are done, attendees may participate in a variety of activities and tours designed for the entire family. The intent of these activities is to provide an opportunity for each family to share experiences in which the Danish language and the culture of Denmark are front and center. Additionally, attendees may elect to go golfing or sailing in the local area (at going rates).
Return to Denmark at Family Summer School
At Family Summer School 10-13 years, in collaboration with “Center for Familieudvikling”, we offer an intensive course for children and adults planning to settle in Denmark within a few years. We will prepare the children for a soft landing in Denmark focusing on schooling, friendship, and spare time. Moreover, we prepare the parents for how to best support their children when the family returns to Denmark.
Participant will also meet children, young people or adults who define themselves as “Third Culture Kids”.

How do we Sign Up?
Register and (if relevant) pay for your membership in our webshop.
Please note: Members of Danes Worldwide must log in with the membership number before signing up or making the payment for Family Summer School. Otherwise, difficulties will arise later in the process.
The registration fee is part of the fee for Family Summer School.
All participant are placed on the reservation list.
Installment payments for Family Summer School fee may only be made when the family has been offered a room at one of the Family Summer Schools.
The last date to make an installment payment is 15 March 2022.
Be aware that it is not longer possible to pay via bank transfer, which means that the payment has to be by using credit card.
